MOT and Servicing

MOT testing is a legal requirement for all cars and vehicles over 3 years old, with the purpose of making sure that your car meets the minimum safety requirements. Without a valid MOT, your car insurance and road tax become invalidated and your car may not be road worthy. Therefore it’s important that you make sure your MOT certificate is in date and you book your next MOT before your current certificate expires. You can do this up to one month before the end of your current MOT certificate.

If you frame is looking a bit tired why not have it refinished in a colour of your choice? All frames are shot blasted to the bare metal, rust proofed, primed, base coated then clear coated for a tough finish.

Tyres

The condition of your tyres and the choice of manufacturer are very important to the performance of your vehicle.

It is important that you regularly check the tyre pressure for high performance, reliability and durability. Over-inflated tyres can damage the tyre structure and will cause wear to the centre of the tyre, whilst under-inflated tyre will call cause irregular tyre wear and damage to the side wall.

It is also very vital to check the tread of the tyre. The deeper the tread depth the more grip your tyres will have. Do not let your tread depths wear down to the raised rubber strips at the bottom of the main tread grooves as this indicates there is only 1.6 mm of tread remaining. According to the Law the tyre should have a minimum of 1.6 mm of tread across the centre three-quarters of the tyre. These are minimum standards and should not be regarded as the norm.
